The Stay

Discover the wonder of the lodging.

Embrace Genuine Freedom Within the Ordinary

On the highway to Luye township in Taitung, the tranquil valleys and expansive plains slowly unfold right in front of your eyes. The endless green fields and mountain revines are sprinkled with little old farm houses that glow enchantingly in the warm sunshine. The gentle breeze moving across the landscape draws your eye to the extraordinary within the ordinary - you’ve arrived at 13 house.

Green fields, blue skies, and pure white villas beneath the trees

You make a sudden right turn down a small green lane, driving beneath the emerald shadows of trees. It is like a secret tunnel through which you follow Alice into Wonderland. Passing between two flourishing rows of trees, you see two ivory white villas standing in front of you. They lie in the midst of an expansive green lawn, making up an enchanting picture of distant green and sapphire blue.

It was precisely this scenery that captured the fascination of the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Li. It is nearly impossible to imagine that the area originally consisted of a dilapidated old farmhouse and an abandoned plum orchard! This couple persisted for ten years, creating blueprints and devoting themselves to every single detail. They have transformed this 11,800 square-meter space from a common abode into a wondrous place surrounded by mahogany, cedar, and plum trees.

Creating a home one bit at a time

Both the “Commonplace Bungalow” and “Unrestrained Villa” here share the same expansive meadow, yet can be inhabited by individual groups of travellers. Both the delightful comfort of “Commonplace Bungalow” and the high-class spaciousness of “Unrestrained Villa” express the hosts’ concept of the ideal home.

You enter “Commonplace Bungalow” upon the cordial invitation of the housekeeper to find sunlight streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows, reflecting on the pure white walls. The snug and pleasant atmosphere of the living room connects seamlessly to the bright spaciousness of the fully equipped kitchen. The large fridge and high bar with stools complete the ideal kitchen setup.

The newly constructed “Unrestrained Villa” includes a large dining room for the enjoyment of you and your travel companions. As soon as the glass doors are opened, you cannot help but dive into the dazzling spring water of the pool to cool off. The simple interior space is filled with little surprises. More than a place for travellers to rest their heads, Unrestrained Villa is truly a relaxing home environment.

As night falls, whether you choose to stay in the Commonplace Bungalow or the larger, four-room Unrestrained Villa, you will find handmade quilts provided by the famous Lidachuan Blanket Shop. The soft, comfortable bedding guarantees travelers a deep and sound slumber. The morning sunlight enlivens every corner of the room. Here, you can truly escape the urban bustle and satisfy your desire to connect with Mother Nature.

Your very own ordinary world

In the gardens of 13 house, you stroll barefoot across the grass, step into the cool waters of the pool, and breathe the fresh, clear mountain air. In the morning, you sip a cup of coffee to refresh your spirits as you enjoy the blue sky and green field. After lunch, don your swimsuit and steep in the spring-water swimming pool under the bright sunshine. In the evening, you prepare a lavish dinner with friends and family. After dark, enjoy this little world that belongs only to you as the stars twinkle in the night sky.
